VarroxSan | Varroa Mite Control | Class C - Agriculture PCP#35658

Varroa Mite treatments including VarroxSan are a regulated Class C Pesticide under the Pest Control Products Act and Ontario Regulation 63/09. 
Class C Pesticides may only be sold to individuals who possess  one of the following:

• Certified and Registered Apiarist / Beekeeper
• Certified Farmer
• Exterminator
• Pesticide Vendor
• Outisde of Ontario

A valid copy of at least one of these licenses will be required at purchase to acquire any Class C Pesticide treatment.

VarroxSan is a highly effective slow-release Oxalic Acid strip treatment for Varroa mites, designed to be used for 42–56 days, covering multiple brood cycles. These, safe-for-bees, fiberboard strips are placed directly on the brood frames (roughly 1 strip per 2.5 frames). It is well-tolerated by queens and colonies, leaves no residues, and can be used during honey flows. 

• Application & Dosage: Fold the fiberboard strips and place them directly over the brood frames. Use approximately 1 strip per 2.5 frames covered with bees.
• Treatment Duration: The strips should remain in the hive for 42 to 56 days.
• Safety & Effectiveness: Highly effective in reducing mite populations in heavily infested colonies. It is safe for bees, brood, and queens, and does not leave residues in wax or honey.
• Temperature Tolerance: Unlike some treatments, VarroxSan is not strictly dependent on temperature.
• Usage Timing: Can be used year-round, although it is ideal for keeping mite levels low in spring or as a summer knockdown.
• Usage with Supers: It is permissible to use with honey supers present. 

Important Tips 

• Rotation: It is recommended to rotate VarroxSan with other treatments to reduce the risk of resistance.
• Storage: Store unused strips under 29∘C.
• Availability: Available in 20, 60, or 600-strip packs.
